He’s found me and I’m slipping away and he’s never going to let me go

Juliette has escaped the reestablishment. She has found the headquarters of the rebel resistance – and people like her. Gifted people.

She is free from the threat of being used to kill others, and free to love Adam, the man who saved her. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch. Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible. Haunted by her past and terrified for her future, Juliette must choose between her heart – and the life of the ones she loves.

This book was amazing, and I may love it more than the first one. This book went more into the characters and how they develop, and I loved to see how we got to know more about Juliette, Kenji, Adam and Warner. Especially Juliette, how she got to know more about her powers. I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but it was definitely not this. Unravel Me was just such a cool book and I was mesmerized by it.

My thoughts

Even though I do not like Adam and how he spoke about Juliette in his novella, Fracture Me, I still want some words to speak about him.  Adam had such an interesting power to me and when I read about it and it was dangerous for him to touch Juliette, I felt for him. but after Juliette almost killed him by accident, and she choose to break up I understood why she did what she did. Though Adam didn’t stop trying to get her back, I get it, but she made clear she didn’t feel comfortable being with him because she could kill him. I also feel like he should respect her decision at some point. Anyway, the one thing that shocked me the most was when I found out that Adam and James are brothers with Warner. WHAT? I was so confused; I couldn’t put my mind to it. Warner still doesn’t know, though I think he should, that’s my opinion.

Also, a character that I need to put in the spotlight is Kenji Kishimoto, he is one of my favorite characters in this series. He is so funny and so caring about the people he loves. I just love him, he is just so amazing. The small detail we got to know more about his past, was heartwarming but also sad. He had no one until Castle (the leader of Omega point) found him. when Castle found him he said, “Hello, sir. My name is Kenji Kishimoto and I am nine years old. It’s very nice to meet you”. I felt my heart breaking, he was all alone and even though he has a lot on his mind, he cares so much about people. I feel like sometimes he is too hard on himself because he is literally perfect.

In Unravel Me Juliette got a little closer to understanding herself and when she found out that she was not alone, I felt so happy for her. To know that she was not alone and that people could help her. Omega point was such a cool concept and I loved that there were more people with gifts and that they learned from one another. When I read what Juliette got to do with her powers I was shocked, she was so much more than just a girl with a lethal touch. I already knew she was more than her powers because she was also just a girl, but I never knew she had so much power, it’s insane! Of course, Warner already knew this.

When I read about Warner and what he actually wanted with Juliette, I loved him more and more. I definitely started loving him more during this book, he is just like Juliette so much more than people see him for. When they discovered that Warner also had powers and what he could do, I was so so excited. It was just such a good addition to the story. I liked that they also gave him a gift, maybe it wasn’t necessary, but I liked it. He and Juliette would be so strong together like he already said in the first book, that they would be unstoppable. They were in this book so cute and sweet together, Juliette got to see a whole different Warner. The Warner nobody got to see. His father Anderson was a cruel man with no dignity, I hated that man so much and I’m also not shocked that Warner is who he is. I broke when I read about his scars and the words he got tattooed. The tattoos had such a deep meaning, it was beautiful but also so heartbreaking at the same time. Warner changed my perspective of him,  he explained many things to Juliette that happened in the first book. When everybody thought he didn’t have a heart, Juliette saw that he had and that everybody was wrong, he did have a heart deep deep within himself.

The last few pages we’re heartbreaking, sad, and scary but also really good. Juliette will kill Anderson; I know it and she has every right.
